NA06291Job Description Summary:
Perform FEA analysis (Static/Modal, Non-linear, Vibration, Reliability/Durability & Fatigue calculations) on components, sub-systems and complete vehicles to ensure durability/reliability requirements are met. Conduct technical research, post-process and assess simulation results, prepare engineering reports and provide technical recommendations to improve existing and new designs. Liaise with design engineers and testing teams to develop test plans and provide instrumentation roadmaps for durability and reliability testing. Perform validation studies to correlate simulation models to test data. Work with global technical strategy teams to develop simulation strategies and CAE methodologies. Work with project managers and engineering stakeholders to estimate CAE budget for new projects. Coordinate and delegate CAE tasks and manage team deliveries. Support simulation tasks across engineering teams and, work packages & other tasks with external partners. Reports to company headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. Roving employee- will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Info Sys, IT-related, Comp Sci, Operations (any), Management (any), Engineering (any), Analytics (any), Business (any), Language (any), Telecom, Math, Physics, Electrical/Electronics or related and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must have demonstrated experience with: 3D CAD Design; 2D CAD Design; GD&T; BOM Preparation; DFMEA; FEA/CFD Meshing; FEA Simulations; Project Management; Manufacturing; and Testing.
Salary offered for the position is: $109,512.00 - $114,512.00/year.
Primary Work Location:
900 N Squirrel Rd, Suite 300, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Reports to company headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. Roving employee- will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S.
