Mission

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA & Release Manager to provide enterprise-level quality and release leadership across Adecco technology initiatives. The role will define and govern testing strategy, coordinate release readiness across multiple programs, and ensure that business, product, engineering, vendor and operations teams have a clear, evidence-based view of quality risk before production deployment. The successful candidate will combine strategic governance with hands-on delivery oversight, build consistent quality standards, and develop strong QA and release-management capability across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the end-to-end QA and release-management framework across multiple Adecco programs, products and platforms.
  • Define testing strategies, quality gates, entry and exit criteria, release-readiness checkpoints, and sign-off governance aligned with business risk.
  • Lead integrated planning and oversight across functional, system integration, end-to-end, regression, user acceptance, performance, security and production-validation activities, based on program needs.
  • Coordinate release calendars, deployment dependencies, change readiness, go/no-go forums, production verification and post-release reviews.
  • Provide independent quality assurance and challenge delivery teams where evidence, coverage, defect status or operational readiness does not support release approval.
  • Establish consistent governance across internal teams and delivery partners, including clear roles, responsibilities, escalation paths, service expectations and quality controls.
  • Partner with business, product, engineering, architecture, security, operations and vendor stakeholders to align quality priorities with business outcomes.
  • Govern defect management, triage, root-cause analysis, leakage analysis and corrective actions, with transparent ownership through closure.
  • Drive continuous improvement through risk-based testing, shift-left quality practices, reusable assets, automation, CI/CD controls and lessons learned.
  • Oversee test environments, test data, tooling and resource demand, supporting effective planning, forecasting and cost-conscious delivery.
  • Promote a quality-first culture in which quality is a shared responsibility across business and technology teams.

Work Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing or release management, including at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience leading QA and release delivery across multiple projects, products or enterprise programs.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, Hybrid and DevOps delivery models, with practical experience applying risk-based quality governance.
  • Experience defining test strategies, governance models, quality gates, release criteria and executive reporting.
  • Demonstrated capability across functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, user acceptance and non-functional testing.
  • Experience coordinating complex releases involving multiple business units, systems, vendors, markets or deployment dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of defect management, root-cause analysis, environment and test-data management, and production validation.
  • Practical experience with test and delivery management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience managing external delivery partners, service expectations, escalations and quality outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, decision-making and communication skills, including the ability to communicate quality risk to senior leadership.
  • Ability to balance strategic direction with detailed delivery oversight and to remain effective in high-pressure release situations

Good to Have

  • Experience in a large, global or regulated enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ERP, web, mobile, integration and data solutions.
  • Experience shaping automation strategy using tools such as Playwright, Tosca, Selenium or similar frameworks.
  • Understanding of CI/CD quality controls, API testing, cloud environments, observability and production-quality monitoring.
  • Experience with performance, security, accessibility, data-quality or AI-enabled solution testing.
  • Relevant certification such as ISTQB Test Manager, SAFe, ITIL, Scrum, DevOps or a recognized release-management qualification.
  • Experience contributing to resource planning, financial forecasting, supplier governance or testing-tool strategy.

Behaviour associated with success

  • Strategic ownership with the ability to translate business risk into practical quality and release decisions.
  • Credibility and confidence to challenge constructively, escalate evidence-based concerns and protect release integrity.
  • Calm, structured decision-making under pressure, particularly during critical defects, deployment issues and go/no-go discussions.
  • Inclusive leadership and cultural awareness when working across global teams, markets and external partners.
  • Clear, concise communication with strong executive-reporting and stakeholder-influencing capability.
