The Head of Finance BeLux is a critical leadership role responsible for driving financial performance, steering transformation efforts, and elevating the FP&A and business partnering agenda across the BeLux operations. The role requires a fast-moving, dynamic, finance-driven leader who thrives in complexity, brings strong analytical and commercial insight, and can influence across a large, matrixed organization.
The role is primarily focused on Belgium, with support oversight for Luxembourg, currently managed as part of the BeLux model.
This position balances strong financial governance and compliance with a forward-looking, performance-driven mindset, supporting Adecco’s operational excellence, transformation agenda, and long-term value creation.
What you’ll be doingStrategic Finance & Business Leadership
- Act as trusted financial partner to the CFO Northern Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa and local leadership in BelgiumTranslate The Adecco Group financial strategy into local execution and policyTranslate Adecco GBU’s global and local strategy into a clear financial roadmap and execution
- Provide insight on profitability, solvency, liquidity, risks, and opportunities
- Support strategic initiatives, investments, and transformation projects
- Ensure proactive (financial) steering rather than purely backward-looking (financial) reporting
Financial Operations & Governance
- End-to-end responsibility for financial administration, payroll, and associate invoicing
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in line with Group policy
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders (tax authorities, banks, auditors, …)
- Assess business performance and results against both the annual budget, competitors’ relative performance, and the company’s long-term strategy.
- Proactively identify and communicate areas for financial value improvement Ensure strong internal controls, compliance to (Group) standards, and financial discipline
- Drive efficiencies in the monthly and quarterly closing cycle, including driving a globally driven faster close process
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and improve financial processes, data quality and reporting effectiveness
- Identify bottlenecks and translate them into concrete process or policy improvements
- Drive efficiency, standardization and alignment across local finance and non-finance departments
- Participate actively in cross-functional, local and corporate projects, including but not limited to implementation of new systems to support the transformation agenda
People Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, coach and develop the Finance and Administration teams, comprising approximately 20 FTE in Finance and 75 FTE in Administration, ensuring strong engagement, performance, and delivery across the organisation.
- Build and sustain a high‑performance culture, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous development across teams.
- Build a transparent information flow and clear activity planning within the department
- Align Finance activities closely with local and global operations, HR, sales, and other functions
- Serve as a role model for collaboration, professionalism, and ethical conduct
- Manage and develop collaboration with Global Business Services
- Create an inclusive work environment for all members in the finance organization, both in the direct line as well as in the ecosystem (e.g.; SSC)
Matrix & Stakeholder Management
- Operate effectively within a complex matrix environment
- Influence without formal authority and manage competing priorities
- Communicate clearly and confidently with senior stakeholders, both in- and outside country
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant leadership experience in Finance, with demonstrated success in complex, global, or multinational organizations. Experience in a country organization is an asset.
- Strong background in financial analysis, planning, and performance management
- Experience leading finance transformation initiatives, including GBS / shared services and digitalisation
- Experience in multinational and service‑driven environments preferred
- Solid knowledge of IFRS; exposure to US GAAP reporting and reconciliation in a listed or multinational environment is a strong advantage
- Fluency in English is required; professional proficiency in French and/or Dutch is strongly preferred
