The People Operations Specialist (MANDARIN Speaker) supports a wide range of global people systems, processes, and initiatives. They are
responsible for identifying, recommending, and working to implement creative solutions that leverage technology &
create efficiencies. Works under moderate supervision.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for data integrity of Pontoon’s two global HR Information Systems, Avature and SAP SuccessFactors.
• Acts as a trusted resource of the Human Resources team. Partners with HR team members to assess needs and
implement solutions, while providing change management support.
• Provides coaching and support to leaders and colleagues regarding global HR processes. Identifies and analyzes
issues and recommends the appropriate action.
• Provides project management support for HR initiatives. Manages and prioritizes multiple projects across multiple
functions with minimal supervision; exercises appropriate level of judgment on the completion of the task and
follows through on issues in a timely manner.
• Engages in continuous improvement efforts as it relates to the improvement of efficiency or service level for any
Human Resource process or interaction.
• Documents global HR processes in various formats including SOPs & Process Maps.
• Assists with the creation of global job descriptions. Partners with hiring managers and HR Business Partner team
to maintain global job description library.
• Plans and participates in global employee engagement & wellbeing initiatives.
• Prepares internal communications for regional and/or global distribution.
• Responds to Tier 3 inquiries escalated from shared People Operations mailbox.
• Generates and distributes regular and ad-hoc reports.
• Assists in the development and implementation of global HR processes.
• Always maintains strict confidentiality.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced HR environment that demands a high level of organization and attention to details
- Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Can speak, read and write MANDARIN
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Project planning and task management required; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective written, oral communication, and interpersonal relation skills. Strong attention to detail in composing
and proofing communications & reports.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage competing tasks and demands and can work with frequent change, delays, or unexpected
events.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
