As a strategic business partner Group Legal supports the business with a customer-centred and solution-oriented mindset, appropriately and efficiently managing Legal & Compliance risks.

We are looking for an experienced AI & Tech Law Counsel to play a pivotal role to support the Adecco Group in its AI and digital undertakings, particularly ensuring that our AI products and services are developed & deployed in compliance with AI & tech regulatory & ethical standards. The position is closely interfacing with the DPO and the global privacy organization, as well as with business and technical teams on AI or IT system design, risk assessment, and governance. Based in the Group Corporate Legal & Legal Operations team the role reports into the Head Group Legal AI, Digital Law & Ethics. The position is ideally based in Europe, and substantial remote work is possible.

What you’ll be doing
  • Develop and implement AI legal frameworks and best practices across the organization
  • Lead the tracking and implementation of AI Regulations in the EU, APAC and USA..
  • Assess AI use cases from a regulatory perspective with an understanding of AI ethics.
  • Monitor and interpret global AI regulations (e.g. EU AI Act, US AI state laws) and translate them into actionable requirements for technical and business teams.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to embed legal and ethical considerations into AI system design and deployment.
  • Conduct risk assessments, conformity assessments, fundamental rights impact assessment and impact analyses for AI systems, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and standards.
  • Develop and deliver training on AI from a regulatory and AI governance perspective.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on AI law, governance, ethics.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI laws and AI ethics likewise digital ethics, and proactively update internal policies and practices.
  • Lead the tracking of tech and digital regulations (Data Act, NIST2, DORA, Cloud Act etc.) applicable to the Adecco Group’s.
  • Implement the requirements regulations across the Group and interact with the Group entities to track KPIs. 
About you
  • Degree in Law, Compliance, IT-Security, Business Administration or Economics with preferably a postgraduate qualification in AI or tech, ethics or data science.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in an international environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in AI governance, data protection, AI ethics, and compliance
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, AI systems and models, data governance and software development processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of global AI regulatory frameworks and standards.
  • Proven ability to bridge legal and technical domains, translating complex requirements for diverse audiences, project management skills.
  • Experience with conformity assessments, quality management systems, and technical documentation is highly desirable.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Proactive, strong, curious, hands on and driven personality with a pragmatic approach and a growth mindset.
  • Strong team player, communicator and strategist.
  • Business enabler and problem solver with a solution-oriented mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Comfortable with leading projects, identifying risks, proposing mitigation plans and fostering collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment with demanding stakeholders .
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across countries, business units and seniority levels.
