We are particularly looking for a candidate with a proven track record in Solutions development. Many of our clients are looking into transitioning services on for example an outcome based manner to Akkodis. For that we make custom made offerings and together with our technical experts offer services on mile stones or work units. If you love this way of working and have experience in this from either a technical or business perspective we want to get in contact with you.

What does your role look like as a Business Manager?

• You are responsible for managing the business from A to Z. You convey this by offering expertise to customers in the field of technical consulting, project services or outsourcing.
• This will help you achieve our goal! Increasing our market share in the Engineering consulting market.
• You manage your team of consultants by deploying them on technically challenging projects and assignments at customers or at one of our internal project offices.
• To ensure that your team grows, you also manage the recruitment process of the Business Unit in close collaboration with the recruitment team to guarantee the quality of the profiles.
• You see it as your (joint) responsibility to contribute to the growth of the Aerospace & Defense Industry by optimizing the gross margin.
• But outside your commercial tasks, you are primarily a discussion partner, coach and talent developer for technical consultants and experts to achieve optimal deployment, performance and development of our employees now and in the future.
• From the Eindhoven location you work closely with the other Aerospace & Defense units Belgium and France.

The Business Manager is responsible for developing and managing the customer portfolio and managing the consultants within his or her Business Unit. In this role you report to the Head of Department of Akkodis Aerospace & Defense.

The ideal Business Manager is mobile in travelling throughout the Netherlands.

• You also have relevant market knowledge and preferably an extensive professional network in the Aerospace & Defense industry.
• You have at least 5 years of work experience in a similar position with demonstrable commercial successes.
• We also expect a working and thinking level at HBO/WO level in this position, supplemented with commercial/financial training or experience.
• Your people management skills are crucial, and we expect you to be able to manage and supervise a group of consultants.
• In addition, you are results-oriented and intrinsically motivated to achieve commercial successes.
• All in all, we are looking for an authentic personality with a high favorable factor and excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Finally, you have a valid Driving License B.
