DAC03357The Ecosystem Product Manager is responsible for managing and nurturing Pontoon’s
relationships with external partners in the contingent workforce technology and services ecosystem. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for strategic partners, including Vendor Management System (VMS) vendors, and will represent Pontoon’s interests in all partner interactions. The Ecosystem Product Manager will ensure that relevant business and technology updates from partners are effectively communicated to internal stakeholders, including product, solution design, and other teams, supporting Pontoon’s position as a leader in the market
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as the main liaison between Pontoon and strategic external partners, including VMS vendors and other technology/service providers.
• Represent Pontoon’s interests and values in all partner engagements, acting as the voice of Pontoon in the ecosystem.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key partners to maximize mutual value and innovation.
• Monitor and communicate relevant business and technology updates from partners to internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate information flow.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as product management, solution design, and operations to align partner activities with Pontoon’s strategic objectives.
• Identify opportunities for joint initiatives, co-innovation, and enhanced solution offerings through partner collaboration.
• Support the evaluation and onboarding of new partners, ensuring alignment with Pontoon’s standards and requirements.
• Stay informed about trends and developments in the contingent workforce ecosystem to inform Pontoon’s partnership strategy.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Experience building and managing strategic partnerships within the contingent workforce technology ecosystem, including Vendor Management System (VMS) vendors and related service providers.
Proven ability to communicate business and technology updates effectively to internal stakeholders and influence cross-functional alignment
Familiarity with market trends and emerging technologies in the contingent workforce space to inform partnership strategies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Combine business acumen with technology understanding and empathy for partners and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to establish trust and foster strong, collaborative relationships with external partners to maximize mutual value and innovation.
• Skilled in translating partner updates into actionable insights for internal teams, ensuring clarity and impact.
• Motivation to understand buyers, customers, and users, championing their voice in partnership decisions.
• Work closely with product, solution design, operations, and commercial teams to align partner activities with strategic objectives.
• Identify opportunities for co-innovation and enhanced solution offerings through ecosystem collaboration.
• Ability to leverage tools (including AI-driven solutions like Copilot) to improve productivity and quality of partner engagement.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in workforce solutions to keep Pontoon competitive and relevant.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
