Are you a finance professional who thrives on structure, accuracy, and ownership? At Akkodis, we’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis and support us during a high-impact period. If you love digging into numbers, improving processes, and collaborating across departments—this is your chance to shine. 

What you’ll be doing:

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the business with critical insights and ensure smooth day-to-day operations and timely closings.

Purchasing & Cost Accounting

  • Post purchase invoices and employee expense reports

  • Ensure proper approval flow and legal compliance of all documents

  • Maintain supplier relationships and follow up on incidents

  • Keep purchasing procedures aligned and well-documented

Treasury & Cash Management

Invoicing & Customer Follow-up

  • Review the Aging Report and follow up using SAP data

  • Send out weekly payment reminders based on our invoicing procedure

  • Report anomalies and escalate incidents to finance and relevant stakeholders

Monthly & Year-End Closings

  • Post group entries and perform monthly reconciliations

  • Book fixed assets and monthly depreciation

  • Prepare provisions and maintain the closing checklist

  • Collaborate with EY during audit periods

Declarations & Compliance

  • Prepare and submit VAT declarations and the annual income tax return

  • Ensure compliance with all local legislation (statistical surveys, VAT listings, etc.)

Annual Accounts 

  • Prepare the balance sheet and income statement

  • Finalize closing elements: depreciation tables, provisions, justifications

  • Participate in meetings with auditors and provide supporting documentation

Support & Administration

What you bring:
  • Solid experience in accounting (min. 5 years in a similar role)

  • Strong understanding of Belgian GAAP and tax legislation

  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); SAP knowledge is a plus

  • Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus)

  • Autonomous, rigorous, and reliable

  • Strong client orientation and collaborative mindset

  • Proactive attitude and a drive to improve and streamline processes
