SE00192We are looking for a Technical Lead to drive the technical direction and implementation quality of our AI powered digital products. This role partners closely with Product Managers, vendors, and external teams to design, build, and operate scalable solutions using modern technologies such as Copilot Studio, AI Foundry, Python, TypeScript, and agentic AI tools using Microsoft Azure Cloud.
The Technical Lead is a senior individual contributor (no direct reports) who combines hands‑on technical skills with strong collaboration and leadership. They own technical design and implementation quality, guide architecture decisions, and help teams deliver innovation projects on time, with coherent patterns that can scale.
What you’ll be doing- Technical Design & Architecture
- Own the technical design for several AI-powered products, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
- Anticipate scalability and performance needs, proposing appropriate patterns, services, and technologies.
- Hands‑On Engineering
- Contribute hands‑on where needed (e.g., prototyping, code reviews, debugging, infrastructure configuration).
- Open mind to explore no-code technologies such as Copilot Studio, following best practices
- Support teams in adopting AI tooling and workflows (e.g., agentic patterns, LLM integrations, Copilot).
- Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with Product Managers to shape solutions that balance user value, feasibility, and long‑term technical health.
- Communicate trade‑offs and risks effectively to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Vendor & Partner Collaboration
- Work closely with vendors and external development teams, challenging and supporting them to meet our technical standards.
- Review technical proposals and implementation approaches from partners, ensuring alignment with our architecture and best practices.
- Help resolve complex technical issues that span multiple teams or systems.
- Governance, Processes & Documentation
- Own AI solution governance, representing the technical side in security reviews, threat modeling, and architecture approval processes.
- Create and maintain core technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, solution designs, and operational handover materials.
- Partner with Security, Legal, Reporting, and other central functions to provide technical input and ensure alignment with governance processes.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant exposure to:
- Azure, Copilot Studio, AI Foundry, Python and TypeScript in production environments.
- Designing and building distributed or cloud‑based applications.
- Experience working with or integrating AI/GenAI technologies (e.g., LLMs, agentic AI, Copilot, Claude, Codex or similar).
- Demonstrated experience leading technical design and implementation across teams, projects, or services (formal title “Lead” not required, but equivalent responsibility is).
- Comfortable collaborating with vendors and external development teams; able to challenge designs constructively and maintain strong relationships.
- Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
