About the role

The Senior IT Category Manager is responsible for helping manage one of the IT sub-categories and driving the delivery of complex IT sourcing projects. Your overarching goal will be to ensure the TAG IT capture and realise increased value from sourcing SW & Cloud services from our vendors. In the role you will be pivotal in securing the success of the team through ensuring that we simplify and mature the way we buy IT, execute on our priorities, and that we support the TAG growth journey by enabling the realization of our IT strategy.

What you’ll be doing
  • Simplify how we work with vendors through consolidation, harmonisation, standardisation and digitalisation
  • Efficiently execute IT sourcing deals to secure a high level of cost avoidance and P&L savings
  • Support the growth journey by ensuring that we create value from working with vendors
  • Define and manage category strategies in close alignment with key IT stakeholders (driving category councils & governance)
  • Formalise and manage category plans, as well as assess category spend to identify areas of improvement and drive continuous value optimization
  • Identify sourcing initiatives and timing in order to implement category strategy & execute on plans
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to deviations from category strategy and best practices
  • Drive development and maintenance of sourcing strategies for the categories you cover
  • Manage relevant IT stakeholders to ensure that we have a continuously updated demand overview
  • Drive execution of complex sourcing deals in close collaboration with your colleagues, IT functions and key support functions like legal and finance
About you
  • Ideally several years of experience within complex IT sourcing for Software & Cloud Services
  • Good understanding of best practice IT sourcing, contract management and IT sourcing processes
  • Category management experience within IT
  • Experience as advisor for Leaders and Executives
  • Experience from managing multi-stakeholder projects or programmes
  • Experience within negotiating complex IT contracts and/or transactional procurement
