The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and converting prospective clients into long-term partners. Focused on selling recruitment and workforce solutions, the BDM builds strong commercial relationships, understands client needs, and works collaboratively to design tailored solutions. This role is key to expanding market presence, building pipeline, and contributing to revenue growth targets.

Key Responsibilities
•    Identify and target prospective clients through proactive outreach, referrals, marketing campaigns, and events.
•    Research industry sectors to build a strong understanding of potential client pain points and workforce challenges.
•    Manage end-to-end sales cycle from first contact to signed agreement.
•    Engage with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to understand recruitment needs and talent gaps.
•    Develop tailored recruitment or workforce solutions in collaboration with internal delivery teams.
•    Prepare and present compelling capability presentations and proposals.
•    Manage and convert a qualified sales pipeline to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
•    Own responsibility for negotiations, pricing discussions, and deal closure.
•    Maintain CRM discipline with accurate pipeline forecasting, activity tracking, and notes.
•    Work closely with recruiters, operations, and account managers to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
•    Provide clear briefs, client context, and expectations to ensure strong delivery outcomes.
•    Support client satisfaction in the early stages of partnership to drive retention.
•    Consistently attend and engage in networking events and market and client networking.

Key Outcomes
•    Achievement of individual new business revenue and margin targets.
•    Consistent activity levels to maintain a healthy, qualified sales pipeline.
•    Conversion of targeted prospects into long-term, quality client partnerships.
•    Strong CRM usage and sales reporting compliance.
•    Collaboration with internal teams to ensure successful client onboarding and satisfaction.

Job Requirement/Experience
•    Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
•    Comfortable working in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment
•    Familiarity with ATS/CRM systems and LinkedIn Recruiter (preferred)
•    3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or recruitment.
•    Previous success in selling recruitment or HR services (agency or in-house).
•    Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
•    Confident communicator and persuasive presenter.
•    Proactive, driven, and comfortable working to targets and KPIs.
•    Consultative selling approach with a strong customer-first mindset.
•    Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
•    Ability to collaborate and influence internal and external stakeholders.
•    Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
