NA06284The Consulting Sales Director is a senior-level business development leader responsible for expanding Akkodis' market position within North America. This role focuses on identifying, negotiating, and closing high-value technology consulting and managed services deals.
Unlike traditional staffing, this position targets solutions-based opportunities, typically involving contracts for five or more consultant placements, managed services delivery, or project-based deliverables tied to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
What you’ll be doingKey Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and capture new business opportunities within assigned territories or industry verticals (e.g., Financial Services, Automotive, Energy, Life Sciences).
- Strategic Relationship Management: Build and maintain executive-level relationships with clients to understand their digital transformation needs.
- Deal Structuring: Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial prospecting and pipeline qualification to negotiating complex commercial terms and closing multi-million dollar deals.
- Market Intelligence: Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions, competitor activities, and emerging technology trends (AI, Cloud, Smart Industry).
- Collaboration: Work closely with the delivery and solutions teams to ensure proposed services align with client requirements and Akkodis' technical capabilities.
- Growth Targets: Achieve and exceed assigned financial growth targets and annual sales quotas
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Proven track record (typically 10+ years) in technology consulting or IT professional services sales.
- Sales Achievement: Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding multi-million dollar annual sales quotas.
- Industry Expertise: Strong background in one or more of the following sectors:
- Automotive & Transportation
- Manufacturing
- Aerospace & Defense
- Life Sciences & Healthcare
- Financial Services / Banking
- Solution Selling: Experience selling "Managed Services" and "Statement of Work" (SOW) projects rather than just individual staff augmentation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

- Leadership: Ability to guide cross-functional teams (bids, legal, and delivery) to win complex accounts.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills; ability to influence C-suite stakeholders.
- Strategic Insight: Analytical mindset capable of understanding complex business models and identifying "pain points" that can be solved through digital engineering.
- Process Oriented: Strong mastery of the sales lifecycle, CRM management (Salesforce), and pipeline forecasting.
