Director, Sales Strategy and Solution Design

The Director will support the Vice President Sales as a trusted advisor.  As a strategic thinker this individual brings operational experience executing on key sales focus areas.  The Director is a strategic and critical role responsible for working closely with business development and account expansion leaders to drive key strategic initiatives and delivering profitable solution design.  The director leads the analysis and architecture  of client solutions by assessing the client’s requirements, developing and validating solution design. 

Scope of Duties

  • Oversees solution design and provides support for business development and account expansion opportunities.
  • Assesses client business needs, goals and overall strategic direction.
  • Leads the analysis and architecture of client solutions.
  • Develops and validates solution design/blueprint.
  • Collaborates with internal business partners to develop profitable account design recommendations.
  • Stays abreast of industry/market knowledge and trends.
  • Improves the probability of RFP wins for strategic deals by incorporating solution design to create opportunity tailored value propositions for every bid.
  • Collaborate with Vice President, Sales to ensure execution of agreed goals and initiatives.
  • Ensure proactive management of key relationships both internally and externally (employees, executives, clients, industry organizations, etc).
  • Identify pain points throughout the sales organization and optimize processes and procedures to improve efficiencies across teams.
  • Represent company as required, including at industry events and conferences.
  • Support the Vice President, Sales in preparation for corporate meetings, and meetings with key external stakeholders, including customers, and strategic partners
  • Partner with the Vice President, Sales to develop and drive key strategic initiatives that support the long-term growth and success of the business.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration ensuring successful execution of key projects and initiatives.
  • Provide expert analysis, insights, and recommendations on a wide range of business topics, including market trends, competitive threats, and emerging opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and other materials to support the Vice President, Sales in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What you’ll be doing

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in related field or years of equivalent experience demonstrating progressive responsibility.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience, preferably within the service sector.
  • A minimum of three (3) years in a management or leadership role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset.

  • Able to gather, consolidate and evaluate information, identify key issues, draw conclusions and devise solutions based on sound, practical judgment, experience and operational knowledge.
  • Demonstrated business professionalism, respect for confidentiality and experience handling sensitive information.
  • Superior organizational skills. Can effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently while maintaining high levels of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across all levels of the organization to obtain resources and provide support and expertise.
  • Strong planning, research, and project management skills. Proactive and able to solve problems effectively and rapidly using excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven consistently high levels of customer service performance.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs, with an ability to travel when required.

Salary & Additional Information

*This position is for an existing vacancy.

* The posted range (Base Salary) for this position is between $90,000-$120,000 per annum.
