Senior Project Manager

Location: Remote with some travel to South West England

Competitive salary

At Adecco, we are proud to partner with the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) in providing critical recruitment services for the UK’s Armed Forces. This new approach will, for the first time, see the Royal Navy, the British Army, and the Royal Air Force have a joint Armed Forces Recruitment Service (AFRS). Delivered through a partnership of the MOD, Serco, Adecco and a consortium of partners, this service will provide end-to-end support from candidate attraction to assessment, onboarding, and Phase 1 training.

Our team brings together best-in-class integrated technology and specialist partners to offer a holistic recruitment and skills solution for the UK Armed Forces, designed to modernise and improve the overall candidate experience. We are driven by the values of doing the right thing for our people, the MOD, His Majesty’s Government (HMG), broader society, and the candidates we source.

As the Senior Project Manager, you will run the Adecco AFRS Project Management team activity and work collaboratively with a wider Solutions and PMO team internally and externally, to drive and deliver key workstreams.

Working within best practice principles, your role will be critical to the successful achievement of operational readiness of our solution, within agreed timescales. So, we’re looking for someone who has experience of bringing in large scale projects and who is ideally Prince2 qualified. You’ll also need to be a great communicator and used to managing a diverse set of stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and managing multiple project workstreams from initiation to completion.
  • Managing a team of Project Managers
  • Developing and maintaining detailed project plans.
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks and issues.
  • Communicating project status, updates and mitigating actions.
  • Fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.

Security clearance is required as part of the onboarding for this role, so you must be happy to go through this vetting process.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an important, high profile implementation which will have a direct impact on the way in which we recruit to our Armed Forces.

Adecco actively encourage veterans, military spouses, and reservists to apply.
