Product Designer, LHH CTM

We are looking for a curious, customer-obsessed Product Designer to help shape and validate innovative products, services, and experiences for students, graduates, and early-career professionals. This is not a traditional design role. We are seeking someone who thrives in ambiguity, uncovers unmet customer needs, and transforms insights into compelling product opportunities that create meaningful value for both customers and the business.

As a Product Designer, you will lead concepts from discovery through prototype, pilot, and validation, partnering closely with product, engineering, marketing, and business stakeholders to bring new ideas to life. You will combine strong design craft with a venture-building mindset, using research, experimentation, and data to identify what works, what doesn't, and where to invest next. Equally comfortable synthesizing complex information and building practical solutions, you will connect the dots across multiple workstreams, ensuring concepts move efficiently from idea to execution.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, skilled in user research, journey mapping, prototyping, and experience design, with a passion for testing assumptions and learning quickly. You leverage AI and emerging technologies to accelerate research, concept development, and experimentation, and you are energized by the opportunity to create innovative solutions that help the next generation navigate their education, career, and professional growth journeys.

In this role you can expect to:

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the design of new product concepts from discovery through to prototype, pilot and validation.
  • Own the end-to-end user experience across products, services and customer journeys within innovation initiatives.
  • Conduct user and market research to uncover unmet needs and translate insights into product opportunities.
  • Synthesize messy inputs - research, pilot data, user feedback, market signals - into a clear point of view on what's driving value and a concrete recommendation on what to do next.
  • Create prototypes and run experiments to test assumptions, validate concepts and accelerate learning.
  • Partner with product, engineering and business stakeholders to develop solutions that are desirable, viable and feasible.
  • Connect the moving parts across research, design, marketing, engineering and program delivery - holding the threads together day to day so nothing falls through the cracks as a concept moves from pilot to build.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative evidence to measure success, inform decisions and guide iteration.
  • Initially focus on shaping and testing new propositions for students, graduates and early-career professionals.

All About You

  • Experience designing end-to-end customer experiences, from discovery and concept development through to testing and validation.
  • Strong skills in user research, journey mapping, prototyping and UX design.
  • A sharp synthesizer - you can take messy, conflicting inputs and land on a clear view of what matters and a practical recommendation on what to do next, not just a summary of what you heard.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity, defining problems and shaping opportunities where the path forward is not always clear.
  • Creative, resourceful and action-oriented, with a talent for finding practical ways through challenges and constraints.
  • A hands-on, experimental mindset with a passion for learning quickly and using evidence to guide decisions.
  • Uses AI tools to compress the work - rapid research synthesis, prototyping, generating and testing concepts faster - and is quick to fold new tools into how they operate.
  • A natural connector who keeps the pieces moving - you stay on top of the details across workstreams and people, chase the loose ends, and make sure things actually get done as work moves from pilot to build.
  • Confident collaborating with cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders and advocating for the customer.
  • Experience designing B2C products, working in innovation, startup or venture-building environments, or creating products for students, graduates or Gen Z audiences
