The Vice President (VP) of Permanent Recruitment works in partnership with divisional and/or regional leadership teams within areas of responsibility to achieve company’s permanent placement, or Direct Hire (DH), goals and objectives. Provides staff with the resources needed to successfully function in their jobs, exceed customer expectations, and achieve individual as well as team goals. Develops and implements best practice recruitment strategies and business processes to increase productivity, improve quality, and drive strong financial results.
What you’ll be doing- Develop and drive sales and recruiting strategy, enabling marketing and fulfillment excellence, providing industry best practices, and monitoring competitive landscape.
- Responsible for infrastructure development, professional and leadership development, performance coaching and mentorship, team recruitment and selection, and search and placement training and development.
- Responsible for recruitment solutions pricing, contract negotiations, and marketing collateral.
- Provide solution oversight, subject matter expertise, solution branding, market positioning, Go-To-Market strategies, sales and recruitment enablement, search and placement services, training and development, solution growth, expansion, and profitability for operations.
- Collaborates across DH and Temp Staffing leadership teams to foster creativity in client solutions and an omni-channel approach to serve the market.
- Directs and supports divisional and/or regional Direct Hire (DH) initiatives, and ensures communication of these initiatives across areas of responsibility.
- Partners with the divisional and/or regional leadership to recruit, hire, and train DH managers and recruiters.
- Works closely with DH leadership to ensure implementation and reinforcement of DH operating procedures and principles.
- Leads and motivates teams to achieve divisional, regional and individual financial goals.
- Conducts daily, weekly and monthly coaching calls with team and individuals, focusing on driving consistent results, achievement of goals, and, when applicable, diagnosing areas of breakdown.
- Conducts new hire training for DH recruiters as well as others as needed.
- Participates in client meetings, interviews, fee negotiations, etc., and provides feedback and advice for training and coaching opportunities.
- Monitors performance through key metrics and activities.
- Trains and develops staff to provide them with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to successfully function in their jobs, exceed customer expectations, and achieve branch goals.
- Deals with any escalated client or candidate issues and provides constructive feedback to managers and recruiters.
- Conducts regional/branch training as needed.
- Ensures compliance with company programs and procedures.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of direct hire staffing, including a minimum of five (5) of supervisory/management experience. Willingness and ability to travel is required.
- Experience and proven success in developing high performing teams with proven business results.
- Previous experience managing remote employees within a matrix organization is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply local, state and federal employment-related laws, rules and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
