About the role

Salary: up to £45k + bonus  

Location: West Midlands

Join our team as a Senior Account Manager with the drive for maintaining and nurturing our existing Public Sector client.

Are you an accomplished account manager seeking to expand your reach and enhance your account management skills? We’d ideally love if you had existing public sector experience to understand the layers and complexity of the public sector.

The role involves building on the meaningful relationships within the client account, navigating the partnerships, and being fully client-facing, by engaging and supporting with the implemented strategy and set up.

You will be strategically engaging with the client, building and leading a delivery team and ultimately delivering a best in class service to the client.

What you'll be doing

Client Relationship Management

  • Understand client needs and ensure client satisfaction
  • You will lead the client delivery team based on the client site.

Business Development

  • Focus at developing strategies to support the clients strategic goals
  • Assist and support the Account Director and Adecco Group Sales teams and drive new sales opportunities

Account planning and strategy

  • You will develop, own and deliver on the account plan

Internal team collaboration

  • You will work with public sector communities across the group to develop strategy and support delivering best practice

Contract negotiation

  • Negotiate terms and agreements with clients, ensuring it’s mutually beneficial

Feedback management

  • It’s a big initiative this year to collect and appropriately analyse feedback to improve the service and client base to help build relationships more effectively across the AWS

Budget management

  • Manage budget related to client accounts ensuring effective resource allocation
About you

We are seeking a candidate with adaptability and the ability to navigate and build strong relationships with all manner of people on this account. You will be the point of contact, and will be expected to know your account with strength and precision. This is your account to manage and take control of, so confidence is key! Being happy to be in front of people and create a lasting rapport is essential.  

The role requires a collaborative mindset, utilising initiative to engage with internal consultants, optimising market routes, and contributing to the continuous enhancement of our services.

  • Interpersonal skills – build and maintain relationships, both with clients and internal team members
  • Negotiation skills – navigate and close deals effectively, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Time management – efficiently handle multiple tasks and prioritise within deadlines. This role has many layers to it, but if you have the expertise or drive, handling routine tasks seamlessly in the background would significantly streamline the process, leaving you more time to tackle the complex aspects of what this job entails
  • Problem solving – identify issues and provide effective solutions, adapting to changing circumstances
  • Sales acumen – ability to identify opportunities, upsell and contribute to revenue growth (increase spend through AWS)
  • Resilience – this role will allow you to handle rejection, setbacks and challenges, so be prepared to have a determined attitude
  • Data insights – we don’t need you to be analytical, but we know data provides insight to improve account performance
  • Learning – stay updated, on trend, market changes and be ready to learn from your peers
