The Adecco Group in Bulgaria is powered by the brands of Adecco and Akkodis. Now we expand our operations in Bulgaria with a newly established Operations Center in Sofia and currently we are looking for energetic and self-driven person for the position of Senior Financial Accountant.

About the role:

As Senior Financial Accountant you will produce various financial statements and accounting and management reports. Your job duties include maintaining complete and accurate record-keeping, preparing journal entries, reconciling data between financial systems and overall support of accounting and period end close processes, including A2R (Acquire to Retire) and Lease Accounting processes. Understanding of record to report practices is preferred. Within this position you report to the Accounting manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording journal entries
  • Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
  • Performing period end cut-off procedures in the sub-ledgers, period end accruals, general ledger account reconciliations
  • Identifying, researching and resolving discrepancies, perform data validations to ensure completeness and accuracy of system interfaces
  • Support in processing and reconciling intercompany transactions, period end process and reporting
  • Build strong relationship with local AR/AP team and broader Adecco organization to support the business
  • Fulfil a coordinating role by guiding and supervising junior analysts
  • Participate in related projects and take initiative in optimizing processes

Main Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance & Accounting or MBA
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting with emphasis on General Ledger and month-end activities required
  • Fluent Professional English (written & spoken) required
  • GAAP experience and general ERP system experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel is a must
  • Ability to demonstrate persistency and adapt to change
  • Well-organized and result driven mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving with strong analytical skills
