We are seeking a dynamic and motivated SDR Player/Team Leader to lead our Sales Development team while also actively contributing to lead generation efforts. This dual-role position combines hands-on sales development activities with leadership responsibilities. As an SDR Player/Team-Leader, you will be responsible for driving lead generation, nurturing prospects and managing the SDR Team to achieve their quotas in UK/Ireland.

In this role you can expect to

Key Accountabilities

  • Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 4 SDRs, providing guidance, training, and support to help them achieve their individual and team targets.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions to monitor performance and provide feedback.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve SDR performance, efficiency, and productivity.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the SDR team, ensuring efficient workflows and processes.
    • Set team quotas and ensure the team meets or exceeds these targets (e.g., total number of qualified leads per month).
    • Foster a positive, high-performing team culture by leading with integrity and a hands-on approach.

  • Performance-driven collaboration:
    • Build strong partnership with Sales and Marketing. Collaborating to align on lead generation strategies and campaigns.
    • Track and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of qualified meetings to the sales team.
    • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop and execute effective outbound prospecting strategies to reach target markets and industries.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in sales development and incorporate them into the team's approach.
    • Work closely with senior leadership to align SDR activities with overall company goals and objectives.

  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Utilise CRM and other sales tools to track and analyse SDR performance metrics.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on SDR activities, lead generation, and pipeline status to senior management.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven strategies to enhance team performance.

All About You

  • Proven track record in a sales/business development or lead generation role in a B2B environment.
  • We are seeking an individual with strong people management skills or a willingness to learn and grow in this area.
  • Strong understanding of outbound prospecting techniques and tools, preferably Outreach.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is ideal.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft).
  • Ability to analyse data and metrics to drive decision-making and improvement.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
